Milan, Como, Varese, Lugano are just some of the interesting cities reachable in a short time by car as well as with www.trenord.it with connections every hour to and from Porto Ceresio.
Morcote, named "Switzerland's loveliest village" in 2016, is just a 10-minute boat ride away.
Monte Generoso – where architect Mario Botta's Fiore di Pietra [Stone Flower] was unveiled in April 2017 – offers breathtaking 360° views; the PostBus stop to visit this attraction is just 50 metres away.
Porto Ceresio is the ideal starting point for sporting activities such as sailing, rowing, hiking and mountain-biking, cycling, running or simply strolling along the lake, paragliding, and unforgettable motorbike and wine and food tours. Boats can be hired, with or without an operator. As of 2017, seaplanes also land at Porto Ceresio.
